Dr. Katie Cooper

PT, DPT

Dr. Katie Cooper earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in August 2022 from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) . Prior to this she earned her Bachelor’s In Exercise Science and Minor in Dance at UofSC, graduating in 2019. Throughout her time at UofSC, she has had the opportunity to work with patients of varying ages and presentations ranging from orthopedic to neurological conditions.

Dr. Cooper utilizes individualized exercise prescriptions in addition to manual therapy to maximize patient care and work towards patients’ goals. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of continuing to be physically active as they age and maximizing patients’ quality of life. In the near future, Dr. Cooper will be pursuing her accreditation as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as her Dry needling certification through the American Academy of Manipulation Therapy (AAMT).

In her free time, Dr Cooper enjoys running, lifting, and competing in Highland athletics games.
